Regional Forums

Regional Forums originated in 1975 at the suggestion of Dr. Jack Norris, then Chair of the General Service Board of Alcoholics Anonymous. They were to be weekend sharing and informational sessions designed to help the General Service Board, A.A. World Services, Inc., the Grapevine Corporate Board, the Grapevine Staff, and the General Service Office Staff stay in touch with A.A. members, trusted servants and newcomers to service throughout the A.A. service structure.

After much deliberation, the A.A. General Service Board has determined that the 2020 Pacific Regional Forum, which was scheduled for August 21 to 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is cancelled due to the global spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition to concern for the health and safety of our members, special workers and friends, the decision to cancel this event was also largely informed by current Government advisory and public health restrictions regarding travel and large group gatherings.

While we are deeply disappointed about this cancellation, please be assured that the health and safety of our Fellowship and employees is always our highest priority.  We are currently exploring alternatives to our traditional formats for 2020 Regional Forums, including the use of virtual platforms, and look forward to providing updates as appropriate. In the meantime, we will continue to closely monitor relevant health advisories, and will inform you of any changes regarding future events coordinated by the General Service Office.
